One of the things I love about the International English School in Örebro is the opportunity to meet and work with teachers from all over the world. Teachers I have met come from England, America, Mexico, and even as far away as Australia. This multi-cultural environment gives added energy and dynamism to lessons where students engage with material shared by people who often have first-hand experience. That is what makes this school truly international.

I will miss IESÖ. It was a challenge with all the English, but now in high school, I'm just glad I fought on. Everything feels so easy after four years at IESÖ/.../One of my strongest memories from IESÖ is the Science Fair, just the feeling of getting to do something for so long, both at home and at school and then get to show it to everyone in school was amazing.

I am confident that I got more out of my years at IESÖ than I ever could in another secondary school in Örebro.

The studies and teachers have really prepared me for what's to come. They taught me to like studying and helped me realize that hard work really pays off. If you have good teachers, almost nothing else matters.

My initial weeks at IESÖ were eye-opening. I found that our students were so motivated – so much more than students in my previous schools – and our teachers too...again, so much more than in my previous schools. The official line is that the school is a place where “students can learn and teachers can teach” and that genuinely is the case. Furthermore, I find that my international background is properly used and appreciated, rather than being a burden. I feel that I have walked into not only the best school in Örebro county, but the best school possible!
